Main objectives

  • Development and production of electro-optical devices for image registration and measurement of high-speed processes, such as:
    • combustion, explosion, shock and detonation waves, dispersion of soil or elements of shells and structures, ballistics of bodies cast up to cosmic velocities, and their interaction with the obstacle or target
    • natural (lightning) and artificial electrical discharges in gaseous and other environments
    • various pulsed radiations in the range of near infrared to hard X-ray radiation, including laser interaction with substances of different types of radiation: weak (with biological objects), powerful and super powerful such as optical, including laser one and corpuscular (electronic, ionic and other beams), etc.
  • Laboratory produces electrooptical transducers (EOT) and high-speed cameras on their basis, as well as auxiliary equipment, such as pulse illuminators, photosensors to synchronize cameras and others. Limiting temporal resolution of the cameras is in the femtosecond range
  • Laboratory specialists deliver cameras to the users, as most of produced cameras are the smallest in the world, put them into operation at the customer site, train the users, conduct presentations of equipment, joint demonstration experiments and research
  • Laboratory provides one or two year warranty for the equipment, and maintenance of its efficiency for up to 10 years

Department Standard base

The works on the subject “Establishment of the equipment complex for reproduction and transmission of the size of unit of laser beam temporal characteristics” are carried out. The performance of these works will result in creation of standard and working instruments for reproduction and transmission of the sizes of units of the laser radiation temporal characteristics with the following parameters:

time range, s 10-9 ÷ 10-6
spectral range, nm 400 ÷ 800
expanded uncertainty of reproduction and transmission of the laser radiation pulse duration 5×10-2

The camera is designed for image registration and measuring spatial-temporal parameters of high-speed processes in the field of "soft" X-ray radiation in a single-frame and linear sweep mode of the registered

Nine-frame camera

The camera is designed for image registration and measuring spatial-temporal parameters of high-speed processes in the visible and near infrared regions of the spectrum in the nine-frame sweep mode of the registered image

Electro-optical transducer with shutter and deflecting plates

The electro-optical transducer is designed for recording high-speed processes in a multi-frame and linear sweep mode

Miniature multi-frame electro-optical transducer

The electron-optical transducer is designed for recording low-luminous high-speed processes in a multi-frame and linear sweep mode

Miniature electro-optical transducer with a single pair of deflecting plates and MCP

The electro-optical transducer is designed for recording high-speed processes in a linear sweep and multi-frame mode. In the latter case, the frames are arranged in one line

Electro-optical transducer for registration of “soft” X-rays

The electro-optical transducer of open type is designed for recording high-speed processes in a “soft” X-ray range in a multi-frame and linear sweep mode

CCD reader

The device is designed for registration and digital processing of continuous and pulsed images from the output of electro-optical cameras, including images appearing at random times. In general it can be used for work with a wide class of optical images supplied to its input with the help of lens optics

Laser illuminator

The illuminator is designed for high-speed performance monitoring and verification of time parameters of electro-optical cameras of pico-nano-micro-millisecond ranges. It allows for lighting of slotted and human test objects, slots and frame field of electro-optical cameras in continuous and pulsed modes. It can also be used to measure temporal characteristics of photovoltaic devices and receivers

LED illuminator

The illuminator is designed for high-speed performance monitoring and verification of space-time parameters of electro-optical camera with nano-micro-millisecond sweep range. Illuminator allows for lighting slotted and human test objects, slots and frame field of electro-optical cameras in continuous and pulsed modes
